Since the20th century, the human beings have entered the era of knowledge economy. And with the third revolution of science and technology, we faced the change of industrial society to information society. Together with the rise of the Internet, the rapid development of mobile communication technology as well as the clouds calculation and storage technology have laid a solid foundation for the development of the server manufacturing industry. As the basic carrier to provide network service, the server’s global consumption demand is increasing year by year. Nowadays the global demand of servers still exceeds over one million sets a year. With the idea of winning by quality, all server manufacturers have treated quality as the most important control criterion to guarantee their manufacturing process. Especially the quality control of the server products design stage and the products pilot run stage before products mass production.In this background, every EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Service) enterprises have paid more and more attention to the research of new server project’s pilot run quality control. Firstly, the pilot run server project quality control results will be regarded as the only basis for the mass production entrance; Secondly, the pilot run server project quality control results can effectively distinguish the design and manufacturing defects, so as to enhance people’s confidence towards the quality of the server product. By adopting the quality control method, not only the project’s pilot run process quality is controllable, but also the unstable factors during production are eliminated and the purpose of designing and manufacturing quality is reflected which provides a reliable judgment basis for product’s mass production entrance.This paper has decomposed the working flow of existing server manufacturing technique and process on the basis of the quality, quality control, project quality control theory research. Based on the current sever manufacturing quality control status and existing problems, we aims to analyze and summarize the existing problems during the production quality control. With the help of statistical process control (SPC), check list, scatter diagram, cause and effect diagram, Pareto diagram theories and quality control tools, as well as the advanced optical inspection equipment, X-Ray optical inspection equipment, automatic photographic inspection equipment, high and low temperature test equipment, etc. used in Y company, we have improved the current manufacturing process and quality control process. By adopting the modern quality control equipment, the existing server manufacturing technique and quality control means are perfected and enhanced which has not only guaranteed the new project’s manufacturing quality but also saved company’s quality cost and operating efficiency to bring more profits for the company. It’s hoped that this paper will be helpful for the relative projects’quality control experience. |
