The Security And Alternayive Market Pedigree Of China’s Foreign Trade

China’s foreign trade faced with the problem of irrational structure and turbulent market. Changing the growth mode of trade and adjusting the trade structure is the key to the work of China’s foreign trade, and to adjust the market structure is to keep and to open up(Zhong Shan, Vice Mister of Commerce,2011). So, for the markets, which ones need to be maintained and which ones have the trade potential? Is there a criterion to judge the markets?This paper brings the friction factor averaged by trade value as a new variable to construct a modified gravity model to give a quantitative analysis of the negative effect of the friction on the trade. Then this paper builds a two-dimensional coordinate system with the dimensions of gravity model econometric results and the degree of trade friction. According to it, China’s top40largest export markets are divided into six types. This paper also takes industry-level trade status into consideration to study the export security and alternative market pedigree of HS21industries.The innovations of this article:(1) to create a new indicator to measure the degree of friction initiated by countries to China, as only take the absolute number of frictions into consideration is inaccurate.(2) to establish a two-dimensional coordinate system while the gravity model measurement results and the degree of trade friction are it’s two coordinates so as to propose a new market evaluation criteria.(3)to measure the security of China’s foreign trade and to draw China’s export market transfer path on the level of total exports; to in-depth analysis the export status and alternative market lineages on the level of industry.
