Lean production comes from the Toyota production way, which is the result of IndustrialEngineering localization by Japanese. European and American scholars summarized andexplained it for Lean Production based on Toyota Production way. Lean production includes twomeanings, one is “fine”, which means excellent, accurate; the other is “benefit”, which meansefficiency. Lean production is the production mode of cost reduction and increase profits. Itscharacteristic is to eliminate all waste, pursuit excellence and continuous improvement. Leanproduction has some achievement in abroad, but it still has many problems in our country,especially in small and medium-sized enterprise.This paper begins from the theory of lean production, which introduces the general situationof the basic theory and present situation of the application and research at home and abroad.Through the situation analyzing to the factory, found the factory has some actual productionoperation problem and points out the necessity and feasibility of implementing lean production.According to the analyzing of the present situation in the factory, make project design of leanproduction to Fuxin Hydraulic Component Factory. Including the organizational structureadjustment, the lean production department organization design, lean production performanceassessment, field management design,5S management improvement scheme design, productionline balancing improvement scheme design, build pull system, and finally some securitymeasures to implementation of the project. Then, using the method of lean manufacturing andindustrial engineering, carry out the improvement project. Use5S management to improve theenvironment of production field, improve staff moral and quality, and improve the quality ofproducts. Using the production line balancing theory to equilibrium production, improve theproducing efficiency and reduce the production cost. Establish kanban pull system, which makesenterprise rapid response to the market changes, making product in the right time at the rightquantity. Its also can reduce inventory in products, improve the productivity and enhance thecompetitiveness of enterprises.
