In the worldwide economic recession, tourism industry becomes the key engine tostimulate the growth of national economic. Good tourism marketing is playing a key rolein addressing those challenges and help countries to recover from the economic down turnbefore long.Tourism bureaus, airline companies or sightseeing companies are always the mainorganizations who take the responsibility of marketing their destinations outside. However,they would not sell the tourism products to the travelers directly, instead travel agencieswould. Therefore, some of the marketing resources are wasted due to the extensivemarketing strategy.Attributed to the establishment of the online travel agency, the tourism industry waschanged a lot because of the change of the consumer’s behavior in the way of booking. Tobe a part of a travel agency, it combines the original function of tour booking with newfunctions like online booking and online payment, and marketing functions of consumerbehavior research and customer relationship management, all of these enrich the existingtourism marketing methods. While to be a part of online media, it could help online travelagency to initiate and execute the marketing strategy to their consumers and moreimportant is that, it is possible to link the marketing efforts together with the sales resultsunder the OTA’s business model.Moreover, the new business model has been proved to be effective and infeasible inmany real cases, which could be a modeling for other new comers into the tourismindustry.
