The Timmons’s conceptual model of the dynamic matching of entrepreneurialresource, opportunity and team is an important theory of entrepreneurship. The scholarshave achieved significant research results effectively by illuminating the entrepreneurialresource, opportunity and team respectively and demonstrating the effects of the abovementioned three aspects on the entrepreneurial performance.The researches of entrepreneurial resource and opportunity from scholars have apositive influence on adopting proper entrepreneurial strategy and promotingentrepreneurial performance. However, for the entrepreneurs, if they wish to be succeed inbusiness, taking entrepreneurial resource and opportunity into their considerationindependently will be failed to reach the results that they expected; in addition, it will bringa relatively large deviation for the reliability and validity of the theoretical research.Therefore, this paper will introduce the entrepreneurial opportunity into the research of therelationship between resource acquiring and entrepreneurial performance, and discuss therelation issues among heterogeneous resource, resource acquiring and entrepreneurialperformance in different contexts of entrepreneurial opportunity.The conclusion of this paper involves three points:First, from the view of heterogeneous resource, it studies the relationship betweenheterogeneous resource and the quantity, method, channel and internal and externalsupports of resource acquiring. It shows that the heterogeneous resource has a significantpositive effect on the quantity, method, channel and internal and external supports ofresource acquiring.Second, from the view of resource acquiring, it studies the relationship between theresource acquiring, from aspects of quantity, method, channel and internal and externalsupports, and the entrepreneurial performance. The result reveals that, the method, channeland internal and external supports of resource acquiring have a positive effect on theentrepreneurial performance, while the quantity of resource acquiring hasn’t a significanteffect on entrepreneurial performance.Third, it analyzes the moderating effects of entrepreneurial opportunity on therelationship between aspects of quantity, method, channel and internal and externalsupports of resource acquiring and entrepreneurial performance by using a multi-variableregression model. The result indicates that entrepreneurial opportunity has a positive effecton the relationship between the resource acquiring in its ways of quantity, method, channel, and entrepreneurial performance. However, entrepreneurial opportunity has nosignificant effect on the relationship between the resource acquiring in its way of internaland external supports and entrepreneurial performance.The innovation of this paper has two principals:First, through analyzing heterogeneous resource and special behavioral pattern ofresource acquiring of new ventures, we conclude and sum up the types and characteristicsof heterogeneous resource in new ventures and form a valid scale for resource acquiring.Second, this paper breaks through the traditional research approach that is used toresearch the resource and opportunity separately. Based on the combination the view ofresource and opportunity, the paper introduces the entrepreneurial opportunity into therelationship between resource acquiring and entrepreneurial performance, and thendiscusses the moderating effects of entrepreneurial opportunity on the relationship betweenresource acquiring and entrepreneurial performance.
