Enhancing the control of construction process, improving the integrity of intermediate product, is very important to optimize procedure, to reduce the consumption, and to improve the quality for a building organization. Block building is a very important intermediate stage for nowadays shipbuilding, it can directly influence the efficiency and quality. Because of scarcity of block building management experience, investigation the management ways come to the peak attention for improving the management level and international competition power.DSIC is a organization which bases on the shipbuilding, it adopts the fabrication method to make shipbuilding. Block fabrication method that is to divide the vessel to lots of blocks. It means that most of the work will move prior to the block stage. This principle comes from Japan in2000, to make the block integrity as much as possible. That means at block stage we take the large extend to install hull configuration parts, outfitting parts. Hereafter we define it as block product grade.DSIC has started the block product policy from2005, just learnt from Japan’s shipyard combined with its own experience. Nevertheless, it can not fit the actual construction condition. Basing on the DSIC’s NO.1block division and NO.1slipway assembly division, investigation the reasons that influence the block product at PC760series vessels, the author’s intention is to find solution to improve block product integrity rate and enhance management level. As a top-ranking shipbuilding industry of China, the investigation method can be cited by other shipbuilding industries.
