A Risk Assessment Study Of Structured Financial Products

With the domestic commercial banks in the pursuit of profits and investors’ demand for high-yield financial products, structured financial products in the domestic financial market has developed rapidly. The zero income structured financial products in recent years and even negative returns phenomenon occur frequently, the risks of structured financial products introduced to the people’s attention.Firstly, a qualitative analysis of the risks of structured products build our risk assessment system for structured financial products. Then, through an empirical analysis of financial products issued by Hang Seng Bank, which confirms the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method for risk assessment of the effectiveness of the structured financial products. Finally, based on the basis of the earlier assessment of risk quantification, risk management measures proposed structured financial products in China, respectively, from the regulatory authorities, commercial banks, and investors three angles.This article is based on the development status quo of China’s financial environment and financial market risk of structured financial products as the research object to overcome the defects of domestic scholars only limited to the qualitative analysis of the risks of structured financial products, focusing on their risk quantitative analysis and empirical research to fill the gaps in research. And innovation to the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method introduced in the quantitative assessment of the risks of structured financial products, to avoid the one-sidedness of the single indicator of risk measurement, more comprehensive analysis and understanding of the risks of structured financial products in China, for China’s commercial banks the risk management of financial products new ideas.
