In recent years, Organizational Behavior Scientists and Enterprise Managershave begun to pay attention to the influence of personality in organizational situation.For example, more and more scholars are concerned about the effects of personalityon performance and job satisfaction; personality assessment is widely used in therecruitment and selection; core self-evaluation is more and more applied in the goalsetting of job performance and employee motivation, etc. The theory of personalitytraits plays an important role in the field of organizational behavior. Meanwhile,Labor economists have a common sense that the standard demographic variables andhuman capital variables can not fully explain the variance in earnings, economistshave started to consider the effects of individual traits on wage setting, in order to findthe relevant research on personality characteristics and income of employees. Overall,however, there are a few foreign-related researches, and no unified conclusion, anddomestic-related research results are not found until now.In domestic local context, whether the personality of employees affect theircompetitiveness in the labor market, whether the personality of the employees cansignificantly predict their wages, what personality traits are rewarded in the labormarket, and what are punished? Based on these problems, in this study, we use thetheory of the Big Five and Locus of control, and the empirical investigation andpsychological measurement method, from the perspective of economical psychology,to analysis the personality influence in organizational situation. This study utilizedSPSS17.0to analysis the data,to analysis Human capital variables and Demographicvariables’ different impacts on income level of employees; to analysis if thepersonality and wage income are significantly related; to explore the effect that thepersonality has on wage income of employees.Some main finds are listed below:1. Signal differences from some factors of wage income were found bycomparing sex, educational, length of service, technical (post) levels, work time,occupation and the nature of enterprise.2.Extraversion、Openness、Conscientiousness and Internal control are positivelyrelated to the income.3. Neuroticism and Agreeableness are negatively related to the income.4. Openness、Conscientiousness、Conscientiousness and Internal control have acertain influence on income of employees.This study pioneers the domestic-related research of the relation of personalityand income, finds the return of personality traits in the labor market, provides a newperspective to the interpretation of the domestic wage determination model, andprovides a new idea to the organizational situation of the individual development ofhuman resources.
