| Camellia as a China’s unique tree species has been widely planted in China’s14provinces, but the development of Camellia has been slow. Xingguo’s Camellia has grown for thousands of years, it is one of the largest "green oil tank" in Jiangxi, Forestry Administration named it "hometown of Chinese Camellia". In this essay, I have systematically analyzed the comparative advantage of Camellia in Xingguo, and make policy recommendations.First, this paper analyzed the background of Camellia industry, raised the issue and cleared the significance of the study. Then, I reviewed the theory of comparative advantage theory, studied the calculation methods of comparative advantage and selected AAC as the empirical method in the paper. After that, I stared empirical analysis; I researched the comparative advantage of Camellia in Jiangxi in the first analysis, found that the Camellia in Jiangxi has comprehensive comparative advantage and efficiency and effectiveness comparative disadvantage; I researched the comparative advantage of Camellia in Xingguo in the second analysis, found that the Camellia in Xingguo has comprehensive comparative advantage and effectiveness comparative disadvantage.Finally, I proposed four suggestions. First of all, Xingguo has to speed up the adjustment of agricultural structure, give full play to comparative advantages. Second, we must increase investment, promote agriculture-related technological progress and improve the knowledge of the farmers. Establish more high-yield forest and vigorously promote the benefits of transforming low-yield. Third, we must actively cultivate the leading Camellia companies, to establish its own corporate brand and increase brand awareness. At last, government should provide more services to promote the development of Camellia industry in Xingguo. Provide more funds, develop a scientific and practical development plan, protect the natural environment, create a favorable external environment, etc. |
