The Cross-border RMB Settlement Business Development Strategy In Bank Of China Gansu Branch

Since the internationalization of RMB through cross-boarder settlement model, such transactions have been developing dramatically. This paper illustrates the necessity of developing such bussiness model through the views of corporations, commercial banks, and authorities, and it also analyses that such business model is a necessary condition for internationalizing the RMB at the initial level by appling the theories of international trade settlement currency choice. Finally, the paper concludes that cross-broad trade RMB is the first step of internationalization of RMB Cross-broad trade. RMB settlement provides the great opportunities and challenges for commercial banks. This paper evaluates the status quo of the buiness in the BOC Gansu branch. According to the existing problems, it supplies the detailed development plans by active advertisement, training, active marketing, client digging and product innovation in order to put forward management measures to control potential risks for this new business model. Therefore, we should seize the opportunities of RMB trade settlement to promote businesses in Gansu branch in order to change the business structure, enrich international settlement varieties, and create more profit. Though cross-border trade RMB settlement faces some difficulties and shortcomings, it will have broad prospects.There will be a wonderful future in the BOC Gansu branch.
