With the rapid development of e-commerce in China, more and more scholars are drawing wide concern on e-commerce online payment, which is a key factor influencing the development of e-commerce. As B2B e-commerce industry plays an important role to pull up the economics of the State, its development has caught the country’s attention. This paper sets the object of study as B2B online payment systems, and introduces ecological systems theory to study the evolution of the B2B online payment eco-system. And it’s in line with the current needs of national economic development and the needs of economic innovation. Therefore on the basis of digesting substantial theses, this paper mainly accomplishes the following studies:(1) Completes logical exploration of the evolution of B2B online payment ecosystem. Through the analysis of the status of B2B online payment industry, combining with the theory of natural ecosystems and business eco-system, discovers the necessity and feasibility of building a B2B online payment eco-system. And discuss the differences between B2B e-commerce and B2B online payment ecosystem. Establishes the whole structure of B2B online payment eco-system (including the environment and in the main category of participants), clarifies niche and relationships among the various participants in the system, argues the B2B online payment eco-system possessing complex system characteristics.(2) Completes the theory and demonstration of the evolution of B2B online payment ecosystem. Analyze the formation requirements, driving power and its resource of evolution of B2B online payment eco-system based on self-organization theory. B2B online payment ecosystem’s characteristic of complex system and the formation conditions of the evolution of the systems fit like a glove. Based on Synergetic, the evolving power of the system comes from the competition and collaboration of subsystems within. The evolving power of B2B online payment ecosystem comes from the competition causing by ecological niche overlaps and the collaboration bringing by symbiotic relationship. It clarifies the logical problems of the evolution of B2B online payment ecosystem, also, in turn, confirms the necessity of building a B2B online payment ecosystem.(3) Constructs an evolution-oriented information gene model of B2B online payment ecosystem. Based on the existing studies of information gene models by our research group, a new information gene model of B2B online payment ecosystem is being put forward, together with its new features. The new information gene model consists of three parts:the identity model is a basic model, reflects the identity and the ecological characteristics of B2B online payment ecosystem’s participants and also as a member of ecological system; Niche model is the measuring of the relationships between environment and participants, also, participants and participants; Evolving power model measures the driving power of the evolution of B2B online payment ecosystem from aspects of both competition and collaboration power.(4) Demonstrates the relationship between information genes model and the evolution of B2B online payment ecosystem. Explores the evolving regular pattern of B2B online payment ecosystem based on the information genes model. Studies evolution stages of micro and macro trends driving by the information genes model of B2B on-line payment information ecosystem.
