Studies Of The Wage Level In Advancement Of Chinese Industrialization

This paper makes a critical stage, starts from our country began to take the new industrialization path until now, as its backgroud, and studies the current wage level, facing to the social problems affecting the livelihood, such as the enlarging of income gap and the insufficiency of effective demand for the domestic market.Firstly, this paper has a retrospect of the evolution and development of wage theories in past two hundred years, some of which is reasonable and scientific which worth learning to help to give a analysis for and solve the issue of current wage level.Then, this paper attempts to compare wage level in different countries or regions in different phases of industrialization to explore the factors which affect wage level from the new perspective of comparability. The result can be summed up as followed. The cost of labor force reproduction is the main factor of determination, in which the educational expenses, on behalf of quality of labor, is the powerful driving force for wage rising,and the cost agent is the support to wage level threshold. Technology advancement is impetus of labor force cost rising by promoting employment and setting the new request unceasingly to the labor force quality. Governments impact on wage level directly or indirectly through macroeconomic regulation to promote the economic growth and keep social environment being stable.Once more, this paper explores which factors affect wage decision of our country as follows under the background of current reality. The cost of labor force reproduction and the technology advancement are still affecting the rise of overall wage level, however, the inhibitory action to the wage level put by rise relative surplus population exists part malfunction.This paper also get putout, which is that wage level of our country is somewhat low comparing to value of labor force, total number of GDP, the labor force cost of other countries or regions.Finally, this paper discusses influence bringed by low wage level to our country economy, and gives the countermeasure proposal on how to rectify the low wage problem.
