Research On The Urban-Rural Income Gap Of Shenyang

With the development of Chinese economy and society, a series of problems haveinevitably emerged. The urban-rural income gap issue is especially serious, affecting thesocial fairness and justice, not conducive to the full realization of building a well-offsociety, not conducive to Chinese construction of harmonious society. As an oldindustrial city of Northeast China, the ideology that paying attention to city and industryhas existed in Shenyang for a long time, so the urban-rural income gap issue is best to besolved as soon as possible.This article uses quantitative research and qualitative research methods and makesthe theory about justice as the theoretical foundation. First, it researches the currentsituation of urban-rural residents’ income in Shenyang, such as Urban and rural residentsdistribution, the total income status of Urban and rural residents, and the incomeenvironment of urban and rural residents, from which it finds several major issues, suchas the income of urban and rural residents quantity difference, income of urban and ruraldweller difference between prefectural region structure, income of urban and ruralresidents poor area. Second, it analyzes what causes these problems and then cites severalimpact factors. The fundamental reason is the division of urban and rural economic andsocial structure and Derivative reason depends on urban and rural welfare difference,such as the difference between Employment, Education, Social Security and economy.Then, it selects several influence factors effecting the urban-rural income gap ofShenyang, Coming to conclusion that “The income gap between urban and rural residentsin Shenyang is mainly affected by social security and other metastatic factors. Based onthese, in the last part it presents several solutions to solve the urban-rural income gapproblem of Shenyang.
