Since the21st century, the global competition between enterprises has become fiercerday by day with the globalization and trade integration deepened ceaselessly. So thetraditional procurement management can not meet the needs of the modern enterprisescompetition. In this context, supply chain management provides a new idea. This article isto research on the purchasing mode under supply chain management in the auto partscompany. The automobile industry in China is growing fast recently. To enhance thedegree of specialization, large-scale automotive groups are setting up their own auto partscompany one by one. Under the background of globalization, the vehicle plant expands itsprocurement scope to all around the world to lower costs. Meanwhile, the auto-partscompany no longer provides products only to the automotive group it belongs to. All ofthese changes make it fiercer in the competition among the auto-parts companies.Consequently, to obtain a better development in the future, the whole auto-parts industrymust try its best to optimize the purchasing management.To research the optimization of the procurement in a automotive parts company better,the article first reviewed the relevant theoretical results at home and abroad and gives a briefconcept of supply chain management and purchasing. Then by using the example of a autoparts company named A, we analyzed the status of the company’s purchasing managementand found some problems in purchasing organization, process, strategy and suppliermanagement. Based on the supply chain management and the reality of A company, we givesome advice on the optimization of procurement management. The suggestions are asfollows: Make sure that the purchasing department is in a strategic place; Realize the sharingof information in a procurement process and automate management processes; Use theAHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) to establish a systematic, comprehensive supplierevaluation system;Make full use of quantitative procurement to promote the global andsystematic procurement and take the JIT (Just in time) procurement system.
