With faster transportation and information exchanging, enterprises faced competitionis heavier and heavier. With the world smallering, enterprises’ competition is going to beglobalized. In order to maintain her long term competence, the enterprise should focus onher strength while subcontracting her weakness to her OEM partners, this can be a goodstrategy. M company is an oversea invested toy company, OEM business mode will beeven more important to her to maintain her competence in the market.This paper firstly introduces the challenge (e.g. L/T shortening, market competitionsevering, product design diversifying, toy material cost increasing, environmental senseenhancing etc) which makes the toy company’s’ life tougher ahead of the toy enterprises.Especially the oversea invested ones. Then gives out this thesis’ background, researchobjective, importance and investigation methodology. Foreign toy enterprises businessmode in China can be divided into OEM and ODM based on manufacturing structure,product mode and management method (Taguchi, IPD). With M company case study onOEM business mode, relevant OEM lesson learns can be shared horizontally in the toyindustry. Purpose of this thesis is to find a method to optimize OEM product managementmethods to shorten product development L/T, better OTD and customer satisfaction, lowerprocess cost for enhancing company’s competence.
