In modern manufacturing industry, material supply management has been becomingone of the most important procedures for reducing the production costs of enterprises.Integrated inventory-transportation problem can achieve integrated optimization for stockcontrol strategy and transportation route as well as reduce the replenishing cost. Materialkitting analysis provides demand information needed by ordering system, accomplisheskitting analysis in assembly process, ensures the production planning stability and carryingout. Therefore, solving the integrated inventory-transportation problem and developing akitting system is of theoretical significance and great value in application. The traditional model of integrated inventory-transportation problem mainly assumedthat the demand of the clients could not be split. However, the purposes of making full use ofvehicles carrying capacity and reducing vehicles number could be obtained by splitting thecustomer demands in real operations. Therefore, the model conducts a study on themulti-cycle integrated inventory-transportation problem under the condition of relaxing theconstraint of no splitting demands and integrating the vehicle number on dynamic decisionas well as demands are integrated and split. As a result, the research not only decreased thecost of transportation but also optimized the ordering strategies and transportationscheduling. To this model, the issue took the balance of inventory costs, transport costs, the impactof splitting demands to transport strategies, ordering strategies and the condition of vehiclesrouting into consideration. Therefore, the issue conducted a hybrid genetic algorithm basedon2-OPT algorithm which includes a method of new two-dimensional encoding, newcrossover operation and new mutation operation to solve the model. Meanwhile, in order tooptimize the results further, the issue joined2-OPT in genetic algorithm. At last, thenumerical simulation results demonstrated that the algorithm was effective for the model. In order to provide demand data for ordering System and guarantee the production plancarried out steadily and orderly, the issue developed a material kitting analysis system.Aiming at meeting the customers’ demands, two modules of query and statistical functionwere designed, providing structural diagram of systemic, function running steps of thesystem and designing query methods and statistical methods based on functional module. Finally, a summary of the paper is given and the further research tends are outlined.
