Energy, as the strategic resources of the nation, has a huge role to the growth ofour economic. The average growth rates of the economic of our most provinces in10years has reached10%since2000.The high growth rate leads to the high demands forthe energy in most provinces, and also leads to the growth of the total energyconsumption growth. Through the research about the relation of the economic growthand the consumption of energy, we can see that our economic growth increasinglydepends on the energy consumption, the energy consumption gradually become themost important factor which influences the economic growth rate. Therefore, everyprovince increases energy consumption to promote the economic growth.Further analysis about the energy consumption structure of the provinces inChina, we can see that the energy consumption structure of most provinces isobviously given priority to the coal consumption, because of the long-termaccumulation and the distribution characteristics of energy reserves, the coalconsumption almost accounts for over50%of the total energy consumption in eachprovince. The special energy consumption structure leads to the great demands for thecoal resources, and further leads to the special form that the quantity of energyconsumption decided to total economic output.The present situation about the total energy consumption and the consumptionstructure, can promote the growth of the economy of our country in a certain extent.But the coal, as a non-renewable resource, its reserves is limited, and the useefficiency of the coal resources is low, and using the coal leads to the large amountsof the energy losses, and the great pollution to our environment. So using the coalleads to economic growth accompanied by huge negative effects. Therefore, how toimprove energy efficiency, and how to change our energy consumption structure,gradually becomes the important problem to solve the energy consumption and theeconomic growth. Energy intensity, on behalf of the unit of GDP energy consumption, is a verygood index to response to energy efficiency. So the way to solve the energy problemof every province is to manage the energy intensity of each province. Our country isin large and span area, economic growth and energy consumption of each provinceare different from each other, which leads to the differences in energy consumption ofeach province. So, only study the total changes of the energy intensity, may lead tothe One-sided result, and the less release of the energy efficiency and energy savingpotential in most provinces. Therefore, this article divides the30provinces into4parts: the low energy intensity and low economic growth, the low energy intensity andhigh economic growth and the high energy intensity and low economic growth andthe high energy intensity high economic growth. Through the study of the districtdifferences of the changes of energy intensity, the paper aim to find the methods tosolve our country’s high energy intensity and the low energy efficiency of the energyconsumption.The paper uses the panel data model to analyze the district differences of thechanges of energy intensity of the four parts. Using the energy intensity factordecomposition model, the paper finds5factors: the industrial factor, the industrialstructure factor, the energy consumption structure factor, the price factor, and thefixed asset investment factor. And then analyze the influence of the5factors, we getthe results: the relation between5factors and the changes of energy intensity aredifferent in different parts, the analysis must base on the regional characteristics. Andthen the paper calculated the energy saving potential, and shows a way and manymeasures for all provinces to solve the high energy intensity. So the paper has greatpractical significance. |
