As one of the fast-growing industry of the tourism industries, the hotel industryis one of the higher degrees of internationalization in China in30Year’s Reform andOpening-up, its mode of operation and management introduced theinternationalization operation standards quickly.With the rapid development of the hotel industry, hotel groups and single hotelsoperate everywhere, forming the good momentum of vigorous development.But these large hotel groups are mainly roots in the first-tier cities which havedeveloped economy and great consuming capacity, and start to expand business in thesecond-tier and third-tier cities.At the same time, a large number of domestic brands and small or medium-sizedhotels are active in the second-tier and third-tier cities. These hotels face tocompetitions from high level brand even international brand hotels in thedevelopment.As China’s hotel industry started relatively late, especially hotel industries indomestic the second-tier and third-tier cities started more later, the real demand forhigh level hotel market has not really formed, so the “software” construction isrelatively weak, the consumptive demand is mainly based on the “hardware”, so the“hardware” has become an important carrier of the hotels to attract tourists, as thepowerful weapon in market competition.“Hardware” is mainly reflected in the quality and style of decoration, hoteldecoration project is particularly important to the development of hotels on thethreshold.Characteristics of Hotel like huge investment, long investment recovery periodand fierce competitions, make hotel investors paying great attentions to costmanagement Moreover, cost management in hotel decoration project is the primary questionand the main method to obtain market competitive advantage and investmentrecovery.Therefore, how to improve the level of cost management in decoration project ofdomestic-brand-hotels is a subject with demonstration significance.This thesis probed into the cost management in decoration project ofdomestic-brand-hotels and unified the cost management theory and method. Thethesis extended to content on cost management in decoration project of hotels fromthe management of project cost of the management theory, and analyzed factorswhich affect the hotel decoration project cost management.Based on practical study on the decoration project of Qingdao Celebrity CityHotel, the thesis researched the influence factors, management method and costmanagement system on the cost management in decoration project of hotels in orderto provide reference samples for the cost management in decoration project ofdomestic-brand-hotels, and combined with the cost management in decorationproject of international-brand-hotel groups for comparative analysis, offeredfeasibility advice to the cost management in decoration project ofdomestic-brand-hotels.
