The banking industry in China has been open worldwide over past decades; the development of commercial banks is facing huge challenge, especially when economic crisis exploded in USA. As the concept of "process banking" is brought to the table, it is a good opportunity for revolution in banking industry of China. The bank process reengineering of commercial banks is an optimistic method to face the changing situation in banking operation environment, and the basis of this kind of transform is business process reengineering. It is very important to contain competitive advantage in banking industry. As a result of competition, it is necessary to improve communications technology and make a general movement towards customers and bank process reengineering. In February,2007, board of directors of CMBC adopted the "Five-Year Development Program of CMBC". This programmed symbolized the repositioning and strategic transformation of CMBC after ten years of rapid development. It has played very important role for China’s banking industry. CMBC lays its focus on the innovation of business models and business institutional reform. It has achieved strategic objectives of low-risk, fast growth, and high efficiency, and set up the new image of the commercial banks full of vigor and vitality. To demonstrate this view, the author divides this paper into five chapters.In the first chapter, this paper introduces the purpose, significance, methods, and structural framework of this research.In the second chapter it introduces the theoretical basis and application of bank process reengineering system, and makes a detailed description of the meaning of process banking. It also analyzes some problems of traditional banking operation management system. At the same time, this paper also introduces the application situation of bank process reengineering in domestic and abroad and its development trends.The third chapter describes the background of China Minsheng Banking Corp.,ltd(CMBC), including the CMBC basic situation and the competitive situation in the banking industry. At the same time, there are considerable reasons to implement process banking.Chapter Ⅳ, the specific description of the CMBC’s process banking management system implementation plan, mainly includes how to establish the standard process of customer service and the duty of sub-branches. The author explains and justifies these theoretical roles in the revolution of banking process by using the theory of business process reengineering.Chapter Ⅴ, A summary and overlook on the CMBC process banking, which sums up to the following conclusion:the process banking is a key way to banking industry development.Finally, many thanks are given to the teachers and the reply to the Steering Committee.
