Study On The Income Distribution Of Cotemporary Urban Residents In China

The income distribution is the outgrowth of economic development, which not only reflects the relationship among various beneficial bodies, but also the background decisive factors. Effective income distribution system is closely related to people’s immediate interest and plays an important role in developing the national economy sustainably, healthily and rapidly as well as keeping the state lasting stability. With the open and reform policy over the past30years, the national economy has developed fast and the people’s income has increased in general. However, the income gap between urban and rural area has widened and inequality has become more and more serious. Both the government and theorists have been making efforts to solve the income distribution problem.In this essay, the researcher has reviewed the development of income distribution system for townsfolk after the founding of PRC. Based on the economic phenomenon, income distribution system and essential issues, the researcher has analyzed the current situation, reasons and related negative effect by taking the practical problems occurred in Weihai as an example and made it clear that income distribution reform is not an easy job. The researcher suggested the income distribution reform would be realized effectively only if it insisted on the principle policy of distribution according to work, combined the government function transformation with enhancing the political system reform and initiated a comprehensive reform system.The research consists of five chapters. Introduction is at the beginning which included the related background, essence of the research and current analysis in China.Chapter I is the development of income distribution system for the townsfolk which has two parts:before the open policy and after that respectively. Chapter Ⅱ is the analysis of the problems and reasons for the current income distribution system. Based on the gap between the individual income, different industries and various regions, the researcher found the gap was increased and analyzed the imbalance among distribution and income.Chapter Ⅲ is the negative influence from the income distribution system in terms of politics, economy, culture and social stability. Both chapter Ⅱ and chapter Ⅲ are the ground for chapter Ⅳ.Chapter Ⅳ is the solutions and measures for completion the income distribution system and control the income gap in terms of principles for open and reform policy, economic reform and political reform, which is the focus of the research and could be used for reference.The insufficiency of the paper is that there is still big research width and depth.
