Nowadays world economy is leading by the Knowledge-Oriented Economy, and theKnowledge-Oriented Economy is on the basis of the information industry. So wheninformation industry has become the dominant industry of the national economy, as theinformation industry "interconnection" Industry-the development of the PCB (Printed CircuitBoard) industry has been particularly important, because of the huge Chinese PCB industry tosupport and promote the rapid development of China’s information industry. While retainingthe core talent of the PCB industry has become a key of PCB enterprises in obtaining andmaintaining competitive advantage.This paper selects CT Engineering Department as a research object, because the core oftalent in the PCB enterprises are mostly concentrated in the engineering department, itsposition in the enterprise is very important. CT company as one of the many SMEs(Small andMedium-sized Enterprises) in the PCB industry for its research has some representation. CTcompany engineering department in performance management lack of effective performanceappraisal and incentive, a serious blow to the enthusiasm of the staff, resulting in the loss of alarge number of outstanding talent of department, then CT company can not be sustaineddevelopment and growth, so Optimization Design of engineering department performanceappraisal system must immediately carried out.This paper takes the theory of performance appraisal as the guide, according to thedepartment of human resource management and performance appraisal of the status quo, thenthrough comprehensive and in-depth analysis to identify the problems and inadequacies of theexisting appraisal system. On this basis, combined with management by objectives, keyperformance indicators,360-degree performance appraisal theory, identified the problems andtargeted propose a solution. Optimization design the performance appraisal system of CTEngineering Department will help employees recognize their own potential and use theirpotential to improve job performance, as well as employees and managers to provideinformation to make work-related decision-making.In this thesis, design Engineering design staff performance appraisal system of CTcompany, focusing on structure the Index System, determine appraisal weights and appraisalcriteria. The outcome of this study is important reference to CT and similar CT SMEs PCBenterprises to improve performance management and the performance appraisal system.
