Based On Dupont Analysis System To Improve Insurance Company Performance Evaluation Research In China

With the rapid development of China’s insurance industry,foreign insurancecompanies have been poured into the Chinese insurance market.With the advantage ofabundant capital,advanced risk management techniques and so on,the foreign insurancecompanies impact on China’s insurance companies.Since China’s insurance industrytransform extensive development model to intensive development model,thecompetition of China and foreign countries’ insurance companies had been manifestedas the competition of the operating performance.So the scientific evaluation of operatingperformance and its influence factors of China’s insurance companies have certaintheoretical and practical significance.First,the paper is base on the representative performance evaluation,includingWal-scoring,economic value added,balanced scorecard and so on,choose the DuPontanalysis system as the main evaluation method for the performance of insurancecompanies,analysis the core content of the DuPont analysis system and its theoreticaldevelopment.Then,the paper discusses the theoretical development of the existingDuPont analysis system,clarify the reason why the DuPont analysis system can’t beapplied directly to insurance companies in China and then improve the DuPont analysissystem,making it suitable for the evaluation methods for the performance of insurancecompanies in China.Finally,in order to reflect the performance of insurance companiesin China in2009,the paper has select51insurance companies in China as asample,using the newly created DuPont analysis system to analysis and evaluate theperformance of insurance companies in China,and make a conclusion that insurancecompanies in China have business effect.
