The Research On The Impact Of Market Structure On The Scientific Development Of Mineral Industry In Our Country

The mineral resources，as an important industrial raw material，whose safetysupply directly affects a country’s economic security and the comprehensive powerin the world.China is a country of big mineral industry,but not a minning power.Withthe increasingly shortage of strategic resources and environmental damage continuesto accelerate,how to reduce environmental pollution when we make rational use ofthem in order to promote comprehensive, coordinated and sustainabledevelopment of mineral resource industry,which has become critical to our mineralresoures’ survival and development.Compared with the foreign mining industry, mostof our mining enterprises are generally in small scale,large and medium-sizedenterprises’s market shares are not high,therefore,those companies which cancompete with large mining enterprises in international market arescarce.Meanwhile,the hierarchical competition pattern between large andmedium-sized enterprises has not been formed,they are in the chaotic,disordercompetitonal condition,which hinders our mining industry’s scientific development.Considering our mining industry’s situation, according to the requirement of thescientific development,this paper made a further study on the relationshop between ofthem. Firstly, it analyzed the influence of market structure on scientificdevelopment of mining industry, mainly from industrial development, coordination,sustainability and humanity.Secondly,it measured the level of market structureand the scientific development of our five main mining industries.The resultsshowed that the rest four industries were all close to the “atomic”state of competitionexpect the oil and gas industry. The whole industry are in the traditionaldevelopment stage,there are still a long way from scientific development.Then,on thebasis of above datas collected,adding average size of enterprises、level of hunmancapital、the structure of property rights,it built a panel data model to carry onempirical research, from which we could conclude that there exists a “U”typeof non–linear relationship between our mining industry’s market concentration andthe level of scientific development.The average size of enterprises makes the mostremarkable influence on scientific development、industrial development, coordinationand sustainability.The proportion of foreign capital only plays a negative role on theindustrial development, coordination while level of hunman capital only makes a positive effect on the industrial development.Finally, based on the above conclusion,it put forward corresponding Suggestions on how to optimize our mining industury’smarket structure and promote the scientific development.
