Since the development of Chinese tourism industry, the touristharassment has become a chronic illness to damage the quality oftourists travel experience, its scope and impact also expanded eachyear, contrast with the foreign tourism, domestic ourist harassmenthighlights the characteristics of Chinese tourism market, the situation ismore complex than in other countries. In fact, our country’s touristharassment has already covered many sectors of the travel agencies,hotels, tourist attractions, commercial outlets and the places ofentertainment. The existence of this phenomenon seriously damagedthe quality of experience of tourists, and destroyed the image of touristdestinations and tourism-related enterprises, caused the opposition oftourists and local residents, has become one of the majordisadvantages that obstruct our tourism industry to further develop.Firstly, through reviewing the domestic and foreign scholars in theresearch experience on the tourist harassment, combined with thecontrast of the tourism crime and tourist harassment, to define therange of the phenomenon by the Chinese specific national conditionsand the type of tourists scrambling phenomenon to be divided.Next, the paper takes Shanghai as a foothold to make the touristswho come to Shanghai as the specific object of study the maker of thetourist harassment, the type of distribution, complaints, responsibilityidentified to analyze this phenomenon in the current tourism market.The analysis is a variance analysis which make the starting point on thedemographic and behavioral differences of the tourist.It will be shownthe nuances of he tourist harassment in different situations.In addition, the article on the effects which caused by the touristharassment to the tourists themselves, tourist destinations and travelagents are reviewed, highlighting the many hazards of the phenomena on the tourism industry. Finally, on the basis of research results,combined with the actual situation in Shanghai, proposed mitigationmeasures for the tourist harassment in the tourism industry of Shanghai,in order to enhance the quality of experience of tourists, prevent theadverse and illegal acts of industry, promote the sound development oftourism from the source.
