China is the second largest electricity producer and consumer country of the world. Coal-fired unit accounted for more than70percent of the county’s total installed capacity. The energy structure of China is characterized by rich coal, poor oil, little gas, which determines that coal power would be in a dominant position for a long time. The power industry is the largest carbon dioxide emitting sectors in China. And the carbon dioxide emissions of unit power generation quantity in China is also much higher than that of the developed countries and global level. Therefore, Power industry to achieve low-carbon development is the key to China’s economic transition to a low carbon.In this paper, low-carbon economic development strategies and implementation approaches of developed countries including United Britain, Denmark, America, Japan and Germany are been studied. Their experience on low-carbon economy could provide a reference for China. However, developing countries including China have to give consideration to economic development and environment protection, the high-carbon energy has to be used. Therefore, the strategy of low-carbon economic should also be made on the basis of national conditions.At the same time, the energy situation and carbon dioxide emissions characteristics of China are also summarized. The measurements of promoting energy progress, fully implementation of energy saving and improving energy supply are proposed based on the analysis above.Finally, the ways and measurements of low carbonification development of China power industry are analyzed from the technical aspects including energy saving and emission reduction of thermal power unit in active duty, supercritical and ultra-supercritical coal-fired power generation technology, new energy technology, CCS technology, IGCC technology, smart grid and UHV technology.The energy structure of China determines that the feasible strategy of low carbonification development of China power industry is clean and efficient using of coal. Therefore, the energy saving and emission reduction technology of coal-fired unit in service and supercritical and ultra-supercritical coal-fired power generation technology are considered as the preferred strategy. At the same time, changing the existing power supply structure through developing new energy sources, promoting the new energy resources research work and supporting the new energy industry, making it to be beneficial supplement of coal-fired unit. |
