The rapid growth of automotive industry has sparked the concern of people on listed companies. Is it worth investing in the industry? Which listed companies within the industry is worth investing in? How to measure the investment value of listed companies from different angles and how to conduct an objective and timely assessment on listed companies must be one of the issues investors are most concerned about.Through analyzes the existing domestic and foreign investment evaluation methods, combined with the actual situation in the automotive industry, this paper makes a detailed analysis of the factors affecting the macro and micro aspects of the automotive investment value of listed companies; and then build the investment value comprehensive evaluation index system of automotive industry of listed companies, from the quantitative point of view, do the factor analysis first, based on which get the general ranking of listed companies in China’s automotive industry, then do cluster analysis, cluster the companies with similar characteristics together, companies of different class different characteristics. Combining the results of factor analysis and cluster analysis, investors can determine the initial investment scope; Finally, introduce the estimation model of intrinsic value of listed company, taking Shanghai Automotive as an example to assess its investment value and estimate its intrinsic value.In recent years, China macroscopic economic increased quickly, People’s purchasing power also increased quickly. Overseas car markets have already rebound. In this case, automotive industry is worth being invested, and there are more than50%of listed companies worthy to be invested in.
