As the requirement to update the power grid is urgent all over the world, manycountries plan to make the smart grid into reality, which bring the opportunity to the powerequipment corperation. How to promote the competitiveness and occupy more marketbecome an impressing issue for all the power equipment corperation.Factory A is a large power equipment enterprise in eastern China,its total assetreaches more than500million yuan.With the continuous and rapid growth of Chineseeconomy andpower equipment industry, the market has an increasing demand for powerequipment produet.In order to adapt to the need of the market,factory A has beencontinuously enlarging its produetion capability and increasing its category of produet,nowit has35-550kV complete set of switehgear, cireuit breaker,diseonnector, ete.Under the influence of the these factors,many factories of the same industry began topay more attention to Chinese market and development of Factory A.They are not onlysatisfied with the current market share, but continue to increase the market share andstrive for larger profit.Several international companies with leading technology also beganto establish wholly owned or joint venture produetion plants in China to occupy Chinesemarket by using their leading teehnology and ensure their monopoly advantage andprofits.Meanwhile, domestie private enterprises also try to join in the competition in thepower equipment industry.The future competition in Chinese power equipmentmanufaeturing will be very fierce.Under such a competitive situation, what kinds of tactics and strategies should beapplied by factory A to seek development of the enterprise and great competition and challenge? This is a major strategieis sue must be considered deeply by senior managers ofthe factory.This article takes the strategy development of factory A as an example. Afterintroducing development of domestic and foreign power equipment manufacturingindustry, and by adopting strategy analysis tools such as five kinds of competitive modelanalysis and SWOT analysis,the author developed a detailed analysis on the externalenvironment,internal factors and competition cooperation situation of factory A and putforward that it should implement an expansive competition strategy and consolidate andstrengthen its leading advantage in domestie market through rapid enlarging andstrengthening. The author also makes a detailed description on working out, evaluationand control of the strategy objectives of the factory.To sum up,we believe that only if Factory A’s development strategy conforms toactual conditions and has an accurate orientation and the strategy measures can beimplemented,the overall development strategy objectives can be undoutly realized.
