As information and communication technologies continue to break through,E-commerce(electronic commerce) as a new trading patterns have achieved unprecedented development.Because of fast, convenient, efficient and low-cost advantages, E–commerce has brought theconvenience for people’s life, and in our country is presenting the booming trend; its development benefitsall the consumers. With the continuously rapid development of Internet in our country, E-commerce isbecoming a hot topic in China’s economic life. Because the e-commerce is still in the early stage ofdevelopment, the trading environment is not perfect. Under the vigorous development of China’s situation,E-commerce on traditional trading rules has made a tremendous impact, and many violations of consumerrights are increasingly obvious. The consumer rights and interests protection system On the basis oftraditional transaction has created serious challenges. These questions have restricted the healthy and rapiddevelopment of E-commerce. Therefore, It is the urgent problem for the development of electroniccommerce in our country that how to protect consumers’ rights and interests and how to reduce consumerperceived risk in E-commerce.From proceeding on issues of consumer protection in E-commerce, this article is the focus onanalysis of formation causes of these problems. With the Present situation of E-commerce development inour country, this article puts forward the strategies for protection of consumers’ rights and interests.There will be divided into four parts to this paper excluding the introduction and conclusionexcluding the introduction and conclusion.In the first part, the article sets out definitions and features of E-commerce. Firstly thee-commerce was defined from the comparative analysis method. Secondly it is necessary of the protectionof consumers’ right and interests that analyses e-commerce’s openness and non-immediacy.In the second part, the author deeply analyzes the problems and reasons in protection ofe-commerce consumers’ rights and interests. E-commerce provides consumers with various kinds of waysand diversified choices, but also it brings more risks to consumers’ rights and interests. For example, theright to know, privacy, the right of return and right of claim of consumers can not come true. They restrictthe development of e-commerce. This part discusses reasons of these problems under the circumstances ofe-commerce.In the third part, consumers should be told risks which impact the protection of consumers’ rightsunder the circumstances of e-commerce. Through the analysis of influences on the protection of consumers’rights, we can see that fully security in consumers’ rights can effectively reduce perceived risk under thecircumstances of e-commerce. Thus, consumers’ faith to e-commerce can be increased.In the fourth part, the author studies the current situation and existing problems of the protectionof consumers’ rights under the circumstances of e-commerce in China. Consumers’ rights always aredamaged in several ways. In combination with the current situation of the development of E-commerce, from the law, government, network businessmen and consumers’ perspective, the author puts forwardcountermeasures in order to protect consumers’ rights and interests. It suggests that we should perfectconsumers’ rights and interests protection system and make health, vigorous and orderly development ofe-commerce in our country.
