Case Study On Settlement Risks Of Helios Metal Material Co. Ltd

In recent years, with the development of economic globalization, Chinese foreign trade grows rapidly, and the uncertainty of the international market, the risk also gradually revealed. For China’s foreign trade enterprises which mainly operation export, settlement risk is the biggest threat of all the risks. So, it’s an urgent problem that how to identify this risk correctly, and explore the method to handle it, under the complex international situation.This paper takes Helios Metal Material Co. Ltd as the case study prototype. Helios Metal Material Co. Ltd was established in Dalian economic and technology development zone. It is a company which operates steel metal material both in domestic trade and foreign trade. It is also a comprehensive service enterprise with the collection of finishing and processing services. In this paper, taking a typical case of settlement risk of this company as the foundation, taking the risk related theory of review as the theory basis, according to the time sequence of this case, we collect the classification of all risks, analyses the reasons which cause the risk and summarize the risk prevention measures. This paper’s study results can be beneficial for Helios Metal Material Co. Ltd, guiding it to prevent settlement risks effectively, and we expect that the results can also be used in the risk prevention of other similar enterprises.
