As a tourist academic research rising in recent years, the research in the field of low-carbon tourism has been well received. With global warming, environmental problems having become increasingly severe, to take the development path of low-carbon tourism has become the choice for the future of the development of tourism. In this paper, Mt.E’mei for example, the part of carbon emissions, which may be involved according to the six elements of tourism research on the process of travel, were estimated. And Mt.E’mei low-carbon tourism development issues were pointed out, and provide a viable low-carbon tourism development strategy and the measures taken under the effect of carbon emissions can be achieved for the current the Mt.E’mei tourismThe paper is divided into the following five parts:The first part is the introduction, the main contents are:Background and research significance; domestic and international travel on low-carbon economy and low carbon research review; research objectives and research content, technical line, research methods used in the study.The second part is the concept system of low-carbon travel, including definition of the concept of low-carbon travel, the differences among low-carbon tourism and low-carbon economy, eco-tourism, green tourism and other concepts, in that the characteristics of low-carbon tourism introduced and low-carbon tourism-related concepts were put forward, and last principles and the development of low-carbon tourism routes were point out.The third and fourth part is the core of the paper, through the Mt.E’mei low-carbon tourism resources and the existing status of site visits, combined with data access, sent out questionnaires to local tourism authorities to conduct interviews and other means to collect information and the processing of scientific data, that the objective status of Mt.E’mei tourism and development of low-carbon travel problems. Deal with the problems in the development of low-carbon travel experiences from home and abroad, based on the proposed tourism development Mt.E’mei low-carbon tourism strategy, through a calculated strategy can be achieved in a variety of carbon emission reduction.The fifth part of this article’s conclusions and recommendations, according to research summarized earlier in this chapter summarizes the conclusions of this study, limitations of this study to illustrate, and that may have future research directions.
