The popularization of Internet greatly affects economic activities. The achievement of e-business makes the opportunities and competitions coexist. Under the e-business environment, the firms have to seriously take external relationships into account, including the relationships between firms as well as those between firms and the whole environment. The traditional theories are no longer suitable for use. An e-business ecosystem has already formed and it is different from the traditional one.First, this paper analyzes the complexity of e-business ecosystem and presents the feasibility of using the complex network theories for research. Second, the competitions are no longer only exist between the firms but also exist between the communities. Third, on the basis of BA model in complex network theory, a model for community internal evolution is built. Through the stimulaiton and empirical analysis on the firms community on the third-party B2B platform, the generating mechanism of core firms is explored. Four, for the purpose of researching the regulation of inter-community competition, combining simulation and empirical study, this paper explains the facts of several alone big in B2C market. At last, some suggestion for internal development of community and external competition is given.At present, research on e-business ecosystem, especially on the evolution of it, is deficient. This paper applies the complex network theory studying e-business ecosystem evolutionary mechanism and provides a new perspective, and to a certain extent, makes up for the deficiency in the study of this field.
