Integrated Supply Chain Planning And Application With An Example Of Company A

Purchasing is an important part in the production and operation activities of enterprises in communication industry. It is a key element of enterprise supply chain as well. Procurement management based on supply chain is a new trend to replace the traditional procurement management, which will improve the supply chain operation efficiency, decrease purchasing cost well.Supply Chain Management is an integrated management philosophy and approach, which is based on the cooperation among all firms from upstream and downstream. Generally, the supply chain value added process is classified into three levels:strategic layer, mechanism layer, and the basic operation layer.In this paper, the concept of procurement and supply chain is introduced firstly. Then, the key factors in the planning, designing and application of the procurement supply chain in communications firms are summarized based on questioner. Finally, an example of company A is presented to demonstrate the applications of supply chain management.
