Study Of Moving Object Detection And Tracking Technology For Intelligent Video Surveillance System

With the development of multimedia technology and continuous improvement in computer performance, digital video surveillance system is replacing the traditional analog surveillance system, and it is widely used in airports, railway stations, banks, hotels and other public facilities. The system use image analysis to detect and track moving objects without human intervention. Furthermore, it can also analyze and judge the behavior of objects. It doesn’t only less the working strength of securities custody clerk, but also reduces the data to record. With a good prospect of application, it will benefit our economy as will as community.In this paper, at the basis of analysis of the relevant theory of motion detecting and target tracking, first of all, we have proposed an adaptive background difference method, and decided the tactics of background initialization and update, in order to achieve moving objects detection. Secondly, we adopted a motion estimation method based on kalman filter to tracking the object. Thirdly, depending on the analysis of the object behavior, the judgment of the event designed for monitoring is given. Finally, we realize the intelligent alarm according to the results.The client of the wireless intelligent monitoring system, which is proposed by this paper, has achieved satisfactory results at the test. It has offered a new solution for the video storage of surveillance system.
