| In recent years, associated with the remarkable advances in technology ofcommunication, network and semiconductor, embedded system has been widely used in avariety of fields, like engineering control, office automation, and so forth. All of these haveprofoundly improved people’s life, and will generate constant impact in the future. However,applying embedded system into internet exclusively is not a sustainable way to keep abreastwith the time. With the emergence of new concepts, such as pervasive computing and digitalfamily, traditional XX will not well meet the needs in the future. Besides of traditionalfunctions like calculating, controlling, and so on, the trend is to connect embedded systemwith internet to fully utilize the resources on web. By doing so, it enables a higher level ofinformation sharing and information service. It’s no doubt that by studying how to mergeembedded system with internet, the society will benefit both academically and economically.In this paper, based on a typical embedded system, μC/OS-Ⅱ, we focus on how totransplant embedded system into the corresponding processor platform, which is a significantprerequisite before fully implementing an embedded system. Nowadays, Internet plays a moreand more important role in people’s life; internet communication will be another majorsubject which embedded system can be applied. Therefore, how to connect embedded systemwith internet will be research field of great value. Give the fact that the Modern is the moreprevailing tool used to connect on internet, if we can design a PPP protocol which enables theembedded system merge with internet; the research problem could be more solvable. A PPPprotocol can be embedded into μC/OS-Ⅱ through Protocol Stack LwIP. By taking the abovelogic, this paper discuss how to design and implement a PPP protocol on protocol stack inoperation system C/OS-Ⅱ with LM3S8962chip and Cortex-M3internal core.This paper highlights the characteristics of embedded system by taking LM3S8962ashardware platform. in addition, detailed introduction of some relevant interface circuit;Analyze principle of real time operation system μC/OS-Ⅱ, and then write correspondingtransplant file, plus transplant μC/OS-Ⅱ onto LM3S8962chip. Thus a system softwareplatform for the design and implementation of PPP protocol is ready;Eventually, detaileddescribe the process of how to design and implement the PPP protocol through this platform.Then based on LwlP protocol, formulate design and write code for the five modules, whichare Main, LCP, PAP, NCP, and PPP. After testing, the PPP protocol based on ARMdevelopment board is validated.. |
