With the era of progress and economic development as well as the people’smaterial and cultural living standards, it means more traffic. As part of the city’spublic transportation-taxi, with its convenient, fast, comfortable, privacy features, toplay a more and more important role in the city’s transportation system. Most taxissupply all-day services, passages often wave their hands to embark the taxi.Passengers often wait for a long time to take a taxi, while the taxis often drive with nopassenger, the empty rate is high. There exist the following problems in thedevelopment process of taxi:"passengers wait for taxis, while taxis looking forcustomers, the passengers wait for a long time, the empty taxi cruising rate is too high.So not only did not improve the utilization rate of taxis, but also result in a moreurban traffic congestion, resulting in waste of resources and environmental pollution. This article fully study the taxi dispatch technology development and applicationof domestic and international, for the management of the taxi industry characteristicsand technical requirements proposed based on network technology, GPS (GlobePositioning System) technology, GIS (Geographical Information System) technologyto use a taxi dispatch system. Mainly study the dispatch system GPS global satellitepositioning and related technologies, wireless data transmission method and GIStechnology in the vehicle scheduling System. Meanwhile, the system schedulingbased on past historical data to predict the current time passenger distribution, andAccording to a taxi passenger hotspot situation presents rental vehicle schedulingmodel, The scheduling method not only pointed out the direction of the taxi parade, also pointed out the concrete parade route. on which the taxi can find the potentialpassengers as quickly as possible. The city empty taxi distribution and scheduling ofpassengers predicted be consistent, and reduce taxi No-load driving rate. Using centralized scheduling model, so that passengers can take a taxi in the shortest timeand taxi companies can reduce operating costs. When response to passenger cabinformation, we use centralized scheduling model. In this model we use real-time todivide the shortest average speed region (i.e. dispatch area), Instead of the traditionalschedule to the shortest path to divide the region. Centralized scheduling is no longerconsidered only empty vehicles, but a combination of the passenger cab destination toschedule all vehicles within the region. This scheduling model not only enablespassengers in the shortest possible time be equipped with an appointment of the taxi, but also make the taxi company lowering operating costs. While the passengers on thebus, using ant algorithm based on road-impedance time to choose the shortest path forpassengers. Through this system can effectively reduce passenger waiting time andtaxi No-load driving rate, and improve the operating efficiency of the taxi system. The system social benefits: elimination of no-load blind driving taxi, reducingpassengers’ waiting time, energy-saving and emission-reduction, reducing roadcongestion, increasing the company’profit and revenue drivers and so on.
