Urbanization process in China is sustained and rapid development, urban infrastructure construction has been a steady rise in quantity, at the same time driving heavy machinery market prosperity. Monitoring system research of heavy machinery has the urgent practical significance in engineering practice, and has become a hot-spot in heavy machinery research and development. In intelligent control, it has become a new frontier experiment theory research all kinds of control strategies. So, the design and control strategy of general monitoring system in heavy machinery were studied in this paper. According to the specific application requirements tailored appropriate software and hardware can be realized in different applications of heavy machinery.Through the analysis of monitoring demand for heavy machinery monitoring system, the CANopen communication module had been designed with OD2131chip, the PC monitoring system, with the integration of detection and control in the same interface, had been designed, a set of simulation test platform based on CANopen communication had been built, installing and setting up all kinds of sensors and actuators used in the test platform, the successful commissioning the CANopen communication of the system had been set up successfully, and then feasibility of this control system had been verified. Using computer simulation, the control strategy of the electric control system had been carried on a preliminary discussion. The study has a positive significance to designing direction and the actual implementation of heavy machinery monitoring system.
