Dictionary of the Pedigree of Ancient Chinese Characters has been one of selected works of China national fund for social sciences. This book is the result of over ten years of development, in which professor Huang Dekuan of Anhui University and five scholars from other universities were involved. The six scholars revised, corrected and extended the texts of the first edition. With this broad range of content and its succinctly written articles, this dictionary is meant for both students and professional scholars in ancient Chinese characters and allied fields. We got benefit a lot from this dictionary.However, owing to the rapid development of character, a whole new, completely revised edition became necessary.We will mainly check against the Dictionary of the Pedigree of Ancient Chinese Characters(—)in accordance with the stylistic rules and layout of original book.
