The Skew Correction Method Of Online Marking Image Based On The Wavelet Transform

There are many tests of all subjects over the years, so marking work is very important. During the coming of the information age and the continuous development of the digital image processing, online marking is more and more widely used in many kinds of examinations. But there may exit skew to some extent when images are input, it will affect the follow-up work. The skew correction for those images is the key foundation work of the online marking system. There are some methods about the image skew correction, those methods are analyzed and compared in this paper, and several classic edge detection algorithms are compared. The paper put forwards the image skew correction method that uses the wavelet transform to detect the edge first and then uses the Hough transform method for the image skew correction. Experiments show that this method greatly improves the efficiency of the image processing.
