With the prompt development of the science and technology, electronics, electrical and communication equipments have been widely applied. However, the electromagnetic radiation caused by these equipments has brought a certain influence on the surrounding environment and become pollution. This may hurt the human, animals and plants and so on. How to evaluate the electromagnetic environment has been paid more and more attention.At present, most of the electromagnetic radiation measure adopts spectrometer and field strength meter which consumes high power. They are not only huge and expensive but also vulnerable to the interference of same frequency background noise which will affect the assessment result of electromagnetic environment and the follow-up work. In order to remove background noise and realize miniaturization and low power of the measuring instruments, a kind of electromagnetic signal noise removing system based on ARM11kernel is proposed for measurement outside or in the field.Fast independent component analysis (Fast ICA) is employed as a core algorithm in our proposed system. It can separate the useful electromagnetic signal from the interference noise including the same frequency. The experiment results show that the separation effect is much better. The system is designed and implemented based on S3C6410processor, one of ARM11. Its hardware mainly includes data transmission module, data processing module, SD card storage module and external communication interface. A development environment of windows CE6.0is set up based on PC. The visual studio2005is adopted to program the core algorithm and the graphical interface. Finally, test and simulation of each unit are completed. The results demonstrate that the proposed system can well separate the electromagnetic signal from the noise.The experiment and analysis proves that the presented system has good commonality and extensibility owing to the independent of each module based on ARM embedded processing system. The results show that our measuring instrument of electromagnetic signal has miniaturization and low power. Hence, this small, easy, flexible and inexpensive measuring instrument is suitable to work outside or in the field.
