As the rapid development of information technology, there is more and more data stored and transfered via computers. Meanwhile, data security issues become more and more critical, especially for classified information stored in the classified network, which will cause a serious loss to country, government and enterprises and departments in case of leaks. In order to protect classified information, there will be a physical isolation between the classifed network and the Internet. It protects the classified network from security threats from external network. However, illegal external link within the classifed network still poses a threat to the classified information. This paper proposes and implements an illegal external link monitoring system on Linux platform, aiming at solving the problems mentioned above. It focuses on the monitor of illegal external link, management of removable storage media on classified computers and detection technology of non-classified computer illegal access to the classified network. At last, it builds a complete illegal external link monitoring system, which can monitor the whole classified network in a real-time way. According to the survey, it is the first time in this field to publicly analyze such kind of system based on Linux platform. In order to verify the accuracy and efficiency of the system, this paper carries out a series of experiments, and gives out the detailed experimental data.
