The Research Of HLR/HSS Convergency Technology In Mobile Networks

With the rapid development of WCDMA and GSM, The network structure of China Unicom is becoming more and more complex. This will also bring difficulty for the maintenance management of database equipment, equipment cost also increase. For example in the network, as a single device is limited for storing data and processing ability, so GSM and WCDMA network database HLR is using centralized deployment, which resulted in the excessive number of HLR network. According to statistics, the major database in network has thousands of sets. With the LTE network is introduced, the user data will be stored in the HLR and HSS, All these will cause management difficulties, Based on current prombles, operation business and equipment provider pays close attention to the Integration of HLR and HSS.In author’s research, the main work is divided into two parts:First of all, the author study the standard database integration standard, author also participate in database integration communication conference, actively study the UDC technology with equipment provider. On the study of UDC standard/draft, author found that the standard on the FE addressing mechanism is still a problem, cannot be applied to the communication network. This paper configurate three new attributes for the application front-end FE,and expanding the database signaling to carry the corresponding keys, Through formulate testing update mechanism for UDR, This paper realizes UDR on application front-end FE accurate addressing,and provides a standard reference for China Unicom on the Integration evolution of HLR and HSS. Secondly. Based on the authentication resynchronization problems of the present network, The author is analyzed it and proposed a solution. In accordance with China Unicom on user database integration evolution strategy, after the Integration of HLR and HSS, authentication resynchronization problem still exists, and the increase in the number of network will increase the possibility of authentication resynchronization problem. If the current network in the presence of the authentication resynchronization problem cannot get effective settlement, the problem will continue to affect the mobile network after the Integration of HLR and HSS, This paper is divided region into three parter for SQN, Proposed a authentication resynchronization solutions based on the UDC system architecture,provides technical reference for China Unicom on the Integration evolution of HLR and HSS.
