Track correlation is an important link in the whole process of radar target tracking, and the correctness of the data correlation directly affects the accuracy of the target tracking. The rapid development of today’s high-speed data processor in the aspect of hardware, laid a foundation for the engineering implementation of the advanced data processing algorithms. Due to the mutual restraint among data interconnection algorithms in computing time and accuracy, it is necessary to introduce a new association algorithm for improving the overall performance of the radar.This paper discussed the related radar multi-target processing based on DSP, mainly improving the current data association algorithm, so that radar target tracking performance get improved to some extent and has practical value.Firstly, discussed the basic principle of radar multi-target data association, characteristics and classification of data correlation,as well as the selection and adaptive adjustment of the correlation gate. Analyzed the nearest neighbor data association,the probability data association (PDA), the joint probability data association (JPDA), and gave their improving method.Secondly,on the basis of the discussion in chapter2,two improved algorithms are given:Improved JPDA algorithm,probability and statistics data interconnection algorithm.(1) Splitting confirmation matrix and joint event probability calculation is the main key points in JPDA.The algorithm which introduced the branch and bound ideology reduced the search time and improved tracking accuracy through the estimate of the clutter density.(2) Probability statistics data interconnection algorithm is based on the nearest neighbor and JPDA’s probability-weighted, its performance and computation are somewhere between the two algorithms. Simulation results show that both algorithms have respective advantages and good tracking effectThe proposed algorithm is based on the SDZ616hardware resources,conducts a DSP software programme and designs the process of data process.Analyzed the time in the actual operation,the results show that it can meet the real-time performance of the DSP.
