The cognitive radio (CR) technology is a kind of intelligent spectrum sharing technology, unauthorized users can access the spectrum resource through the spectrum sencing technology by handing over free spectrum left by authorized user, effectively improve the traditional fixed spectrum allocation mode the malpractices. This can be a more efficient and reasonable method of using spectrum resources. This method, to a certain extent, ease the tension of spectrum resources problems. Introducing cognitive radio technology and its environment into relay network can apply the great success of the traditional cellular relay system in wireless network topology design to cognitive radio network, the introduction of the relay can effectively improve the spectral efficiency of the system. The traditional cognitive relay network didn’t consider various spectrum sharing model. Based on cognitive radio network transmission rate and the shortage of the scope and the interference suffered by main user, as well as considering the energy loss, this paper puts forward a kind of cognitive relay node independent hybrid switching scheme. The scheme has two kinds of specific switching state model, divided into Underlay mode and Overlay model, based on cognitive relay node intelligent grouping, it can decrease the system complexity and energy loss. This paper analyzes the two state mode of relay selection and power distribution and hybrid switching model. The simulation results show that the proposed hybrid switching scheme has better performance than the traditional single model. The proposed hybrid switching model based on intelligent grouping and self-switching can effectively solve the single mode spectrum underused in space and time, improving the cognitive relay networks system outage performance.
