The basic idea of network coding is that the nodes in a network which participate in forwarding information should do some other rithmetic processes such as encoding before transmitting the packets or the information. This transmission method breaks the tradition that the relay is only responsible for forwarding packets and generally occurs in the network layer with encoding operation. With the rapid development of wireless network, network coding technology has become a research focus for wireless relay networks. In this paper, multi-source single-relay wireless communication system is studied. The purpose is to achieve information exchange between the various nodes in the network. In the network to let the information on each node is known to the other nodes. The ARQ Feedback retransmission is a traditional reliable scheme for downlink transmission mode. However, in a multi-source wireless network, the system throughput and packet delay is relatively poor. The network coding ideas used in the multi-source single-relay wireless network can largely improve the performance, and for security of the network to bring new benefits. This paper studies the feedback retransmission, random linear network coding, random linear sparse network coding in the multi-source wireless network, and a new method named single-transmit mixed network coding is raised. Finally these fourkinds of forwarding performance is compared. The result shows this single-transmit mixed network coding can reduce the algorithm complexity as far as possible without reducing the throughput and delay performance, which has great significance for further study of network coding in the multi-source radio scene.
