In this paper, we choose the development board image as the experimental image, remote fault diagnosis as the background,proposed a complete set of solution of the development board image pre-processing.The solution mainly include the image reduction and denoising, and also choose a appropriate compression scheme for the characteristics of the development board image.Firstly, we get the fault image through image acquisition devices, and process it in the color level. Image acquisition process will occur degradation and noise interference, to solve these two problem, a improved color image restoration method based on Wiener and Median hybrid filter has been proposed, it combines the advantages of the Wiener filtering and Median filtering. The processing algorithms used in the gray level of the image are more available than the color level, so we convert the color image to a gray one, selected further denoising method according to the requirements of the image quality. We choose the adaptive threshold denoising method based on wavelet transform, and improve the algorithms. The existing adaptive threshold method makes the decomposition level into account, based on this, this paper make improvements in making the energy around the coefficient into account. After these steps, we can obtain a good recovery image with good quality. At the last part of this paper, a brief introduction of the wavelet-based image compression technology has been made, and find out the best wavelet basis for the development board image through simulation, contrast with the traditional JPEG compression method.
