The developments of communication and network technology, especially the developments of digital television technology, have brought revolutionary changes for image display. High Definition technology has been the new developing direction of video system. Currently, transmission technology and video compression technology have become so perfect and mature that building the high definition video applications on the IP network has been the leading application in visual system.High definition video system based on IP network model has rich contents, powerful functions, and simple and convenient operation and management. So it can provide a powerful ability to extend, an access capability to complete multiple locations, multi-point high definition video and data communications services with point to point to users.In this thesis, an in-depth research on design and implementation of High Definition video system network are studied. The main contents are as the following:1) Firstly, the concept of high definition and the development of video system process are introduced. The technology of video compression coding, wideband audio, and the main video technology such as multi-streaming standards and transport protocol are described.2) After determining the requirements of system functions, networking design based on H.323framework of high definition video system is presented in this thesis. To realize the entire conference functions, the video system is divided into three layers. The functions of each layer are investigated.3) The implementation of High Definition video system in the meeting place is studied. According to the topology structure and the characteristics of the main meeting place and the sub meeting place, the realization of the main meeting place and the sub meeting place are described respectively. The implementation of the whole meeting place of MCU, terminal equipment, audio and video collection, and the connection between the device and network interface are studied in detail. The environment factors are also discussed.4) The problems in the application of High Definition video system are described. And the complete solutions and measures of these problems are put forward then.This thesis gives the network design and the realization of High Definition video system. And it can enable the technicians to familiar the implementing High Definition video system, and improve the ability to solve practical problems.
