Following the requirement of market consumption of dry cell quality improvement and market competition is more intense, the high performance dry cell production and strict quality monitoring are more and more attended by the manufacturers. At the same time, with the rapid development of computer and electronic technology, and the increasing of labor force, Machine vision detection technology and automatic control has become the new focus of the industry, And it been applied more and more in all walks of life. Based on summing up the research status, development trend and working principle of machine vision detection technology carried out the research of machine vision technology used in dry cell defects detection. According to the characteristics of dry cell defect, this paper studied cell defects detection technology based on embedded machine vision system. It is significance for improving level of dry cell detection and realizing the automation.The main content of this paper and the main work are as follows:1)Analysis of the characteristics and regularity of the dry cell defects, studied dry cell defects detection technology based on embedded machine vision system. And set up experimental platform embedded dry cell defect detection.2) According to the requirement of dry cell defect detection such as high speed, real-time, this paper determined the scheme of embedded detection system. Put forward a kind of scheme, it is based on FPGA+DSP cooperative embedded dry cell defect detection system. FPGA is responsible for image acquisition and pre-processing of dry cells and DSP is responsible for image processing and defect recognition of dry cell.3) Establish the acquisition be composed of FPGA, SAA7113and SRAM, image acquisition and preprocessing, then the DSP is to complete the processing and recognition of image data control. And the PCB of image acquisition module is for the design of EMC. This paper completed design of the image collection module from hardware to software, also acquisition card is designed and made.4) this paper completed the software code design of image acquisition module using Verilog HDL based on FPGA, and simulated by modelsim. EL_DM6437development board as the foundation, integrated FPGA image acquisition card, establish embedded dry cell defects detection system.5)Carried out the research of image of dry cell defect s processing and image recognition algorithm, and simulated in the MATLAB, choose the algorithm which suitable for dry cell defects image processing and image recognition such as the median filter, binarization, tailoring and defect detection, and realized the related algorithms based on EL_DM6437development.
