With the increasing demanding of wireless communication and remarkable development in varies kinds of distance wireless communication technology, A brand new wireless communication technique,Zigbee, has been announced. It features in energy saving,security,durability,cost saving, simplicity in deployment, high network capacity. Due to these features,It has been wildly used in many fields such as intelligent family, industry control.This article includes the background of ZigBee, reviewing its current development statues inside and outside the country and concluding the network structure of ZigBee. The major research work and results consist the following parts. First, we analyze and research some key technical problem of ZigBee, Second, we discussed some classic distance measuring method including RSSI,TOA,TDOA,AOA and some position algorithm like triangulation method、centroid algorithm. We continue focus on scene fingerprint method, as well as simulate and certificate the algorithm with analyze its advantage and disadvantage.This article also present2D RSS scene fingerprint method. This method exceed the limitation of2D. the advantage of this method has been proved by simulation experiment. Meanwhile, the disadvantage is that it requires a large amount of resources in node collection and allocation under high accurate requirement.This article not only analyzed the features of traditional positioning alogrithm but optimized a part of the classic positioning algorithms as well. Also, proved the advantage of the optimized algorthm in improving the accuracy and reducing cost in communications via the experiment.
