In the live broadcast, in order to meet the needs of television viewers who have different appreciation of the needs, this paper presents the concept of multi-scene TV. The multi-scene TV can provide multiple live scenes, viewers can choose one or more scenes (?) to their interests. In order to this, from the demand for live television, this paper researches the key techniques of multi-scene TV in the DVB system.Digital TV source coding and channel coding technology enable frequency resources of the television program capable of carrying the multi-channel digital television programs, which originally can only transmit one analog TV broadcast. These techniques provided the conditions for the realization of the multi-scene video simultaneous transmission. In addition, watching the multi-scene television programs need to simultaneously decode multiple video,(?) have high demands on the decoding capability of the terminal, the latest set-top box, which configure by SoC chip already has a concurrent decoding of multiple video playback capabilities, it provides a realization basis for multi-scene TV.In DVB system, the paper solves problems as how to organize multi-scene show, and how multi-scene player interface compatible with the general set-top boxes. Ordinary TV programs usually have only one video, in the case without departing from the DVB specification, this paper describes multiple video streams in the multi-scene. DVB specification does not define and decode a program with multiple video. Through the analysis, we design a quarter of the screen, picture-in-picture and other presentations. For different set-top box does not support multi-scene TV, this paper presents a common set-top box in a similar way to change the channel to watch the multi-scene TV solution.In order to make multi-scene TV becomes HD and SD STB can continue to be used, we need to provide both high-definition and standard-definition videos, MEPG-2and H.264coding standard can’t meet the simultaneous transmission of more than3-way high-definition and standard-definition video. Under the conditions of existing frequency transmission capacity, MEPG-2and H.264coding standard can’t meet the simultaneous transmission of more than3-way high-definition and standard-definition video. SVC spatial scalability video coding is applied to the DVB system in this article. In the multi-scene TV, Multi-scene program.SD video as a base layer of SVC spatial scalability, HD video is encoded as an enhancement layer of the SVC spatial scalability. By predicting, the overall encoding bandwidth increased by10%more than H.264HD encoding, so that the video bandwidth of the plurality of scenes does not exceed the carrying capacity of the transmission channel.The most mainstream set-top box only supports2of HD or16of SD, therefore, in the multi-scene TV, we only decode one single HD, others decoded SD. The specific decoding is determined by the viewing mode of user, SVC base layer is only decoded when decoding the SD, HD decoding, base layer and the enhancement layer is decoded. To achieve this purpose, The SVC stream is separated in the encoding side, the base layer and the enhancement layer transmit respectively, in this paper, bitstream extraction and merge is realized.
