This paper combines chaos theory and traditional cryptography theory, contrary to normal image encryption scheme’s weaknesses of monotonous algorithm, weak correlation of plain image, fixed block rules and etc., this paper designs several kinds of chaotic image encryption algorithm. The main research contents include:(1) This paper briefly introduces chaos theory, cryptography and chaotic image encryption technology.(2) This paper brings out an image encryption scheme based on magic cube scrambling and dynamic look up table. In the pixels scrambling stage, this paper uses the basic idea of magic cube’s revolving, it disposes the current sub block with its adjacent ones. It brings the concept of stable points in disposing sub blocks, the concept of delay time in disposing adjacent sub blocks, and the concept of multiple uncertain operations and dynamic lookup table in diffusion stage.(3) This paper proposes an image encryption system based on water wave motion and water drop motion. It disposes secret key by key generator, and it makes the connection between key and plain image. Then it imitates the trajectory of water wave to do the confusion operation. After that, it imitates water drop motion and dynamic look up table to realize the diffusion operation. This algorithm only disposes the higher4bits of the image, because it contains most of each pixel’s information.(4) This paper proposes a novel image encryption algorithm which is based on controllable cascade chaotic mapping and dynamical boost blocking. It generates all the random numbers by controllable cascade chaotic mapping. It uses dot density to control the procedure of generating dots. It dynamically blocks the image by dynamically boosting.
